You can achieve between 16 to 20 minutes of flight time, depending on variables like how fast you fly and the weather conditions.Īs for battery life, this drone uses a 7.4v 1800 mAh lipo battery, which is made to retain its charge for as long as possible in order to let you fly for a longer period of time. It will only show you a video quality of 720p, which is not ideal despite being classified as HD, but is still a nice feature to have in a lower-priced model such as this one. On the plus side, you can see your footage using live video stream. The camera, however, is fixed on the drone’s body and is not stabilized by a gimbal, which is what allows some drone heads to rotate and thus capture a larger field of view. It shoots with a 120° field of view and has very little distortion. The inclusion of the memory card slot, found on the bottom of the drone, means you won’t have to record footage on your smartphone and you will have the ability to shoot more without worrying about running out of memory storage as fast. Keep in mind that in order to shoot 2K video, you’ll need a 16-32 GB SD card that is not included with the purchase of this drone. Overall however, we recommend the Potensic D80 for its usability and impressive range of features.įor only US$189.99 at the time of writing, this drone comes equipped with a 5G wi-fi 2K FPV camera to capture the smoothest possible HD video and enhance the quality of your cinematography. With features like dual GPS, 2K video capabilities, brushless motors, and an impressive flight time for this range of models, there are many reasons why you should consider this drone. If you are lucky you can spot deer and lots of birdlife - they also have informative posts around the park with info on the kinds of birds, plants and animals you see there. One of the best drones you can buy for under $200 is the Potensic D80. There are also public bathrooms that are surprisingly clean and always had paper in them. There are lookout spots and benches dotted around that would be the perfect spot for a picnic. You do have to beware of the cyclists tho as they come downhill pretty fast. The park is huge and there are so many trails that are marked and easy to follow and range from a 30 minute walk to a 4 hour hike. There are plenty of other places to hike on weekends though so i tended to go mid week. This for me, is the only drawback as you must reserve online before you arrive and pay a $4 fee and to be honest it is so busy that i prefer to go elsewhere. I came here almost daily during a visit to the area, it is very popular with hikers, mountain bikers and horse riders - so much so that on weekends you have to reserve as there is limited parking. Kudos to Placer County for building and maintaining this wonderful asset for the community. Overall, this is a great hiking experience suitable for families and dogs on leashes. It's not super steep, but it's definitely a long, steady climb. One note of caution: the first mile + from the parking lot is downhill, so plan accordingly and save enough energy for the return trip. Be prepared to share the trails with horses and mountain bikes, but the trails are wide enough to accommodate everyone safely. There are porta-potties at the trailhead, but no potable water, so bring your own. On weekends/holidays, advance parking permits must be purchased online ($4.00) or you won't get into the park. A few suggestions to enhance the experience: go during the week if possible, when parking is free and the trails less crowded. Once in the park, there are endless combinations of trails, all beautifully maintained, almost all are easy/moderate, very few rocky areas (unlike many mountain trails where every step is a tripping hazard), and most are heavily shaded, so even warm days are do-able. We've lived in Sacramento/El Dorado Hills for many years, and just discovered this close-by gem for hiking.
